Mermaid Land

Mermaid Land is a magical place that looks just like the ocean—because it is the ocean. It is located deep beneath the waves and is most well known for one very important thing: mermaids. Everywhere you look, there are shimmering tails, flowing hair, and lots of singing.

Mermaid Land is full of fun, love, and music, and somehow everything sounds better underwater.

Mermaid Land was discovered by Peyton when she went to go see Evelyn, but things did not go exactly as planned.

While walking along the beach looking for cool shells to show Evelyn, Peyton followed a trail of sparkly sand that led straight into the water. She leaned in to look closer, slipped on a very sneaky wave, and plop—fell right in.

Instead of getting wet like usual, Peyton floated gently downward, landed on soft sand, and heard singing all around her. A mermaid swam up, smiled, and said, “Oh good, you found us.” That’s when Peyton realized she had discovered Mermaid Land… and was going to have a very interesting story to tell Evelyn.

Climate

The climate in Mermaid Land changes often, just like the ocean itself. Some days are sunny, with light dancing through the water. Other days are rainy and cloudy, with gentle waves tapping above.

No matter the weather, the water stays comfortable, and the mermaids don’t mind at all—they just sing louder when it rains.

Landforms

Mermaid Land is full of ocean-style landforms, including:

Lots of sand, perfect for resting, decorating, and writing songs in.
Endless water, clear and blue, stretching in every direction.
Rocky areas where crabs hang out and sea stars relax.

There are no roads or buildings—just open water, sandy bottoms, and coral-filled spaces to explore.

Animals

Mermaid Land is home to many sea animals, such as:

Fish - swimming in colorful schools.

Crabs - who scuttle around and mind everyone’s business.

Sea stars - quietly resting on rocks.

Turtles - gliding peacefully through the water.

All animals live calmly together and are used to being sung to daily.

Life in Mermaid Land

About 100 people live in Mermaid Land, and they are all mermaids. Life there is filled with fun, love, and singing. Days are spent swimming, exploring, laughing, and practicing new songs that echo through the water.

There is no rushing in Mermaid Land—only gentle waves, happy voices, and the feeling that you are exactly where you belong.
