📍Backpackland
📍Backpackland
Backpackland is a mysterious and magical place that doesn’t appear on any map. Its location is completely unknown, making it one of the most secret places in the world. Travelers and explorers have tried to find it, but no one has ever been able to prove they’ve been there—except for one girl named Abby.
She discovered Backpackland completely by accident when she tried to zip herself up inside a backpack during a game of hide and seek with her mom. Instead of hiding, she teleported to a whole new land (or passed out and dreamed of a whole new land)—a land filled with enormous backpack mountains and pencil grass. Immediately upon returning home (or awakening from near-suffocation), Abby drew this sketch of her discovery. Abby’s story is the only known account of Backpackland, but many believe her tale is true.
Backpackland has a mild and pleasant climate. It has sunny days, cloudy days, and rainy days, just like many places on Earth. The sunshine helps the pencil grass stand tall and bright, while the rain keeps the pencils sharp and helps new ones grow. There are no storms or snow—just a peaceful mix of sunshine and showers that keeps the land thriving.
The most famous landforms in Backpackland are its gigantic backpack mountains. These mountains look exactly like regular backpacks, but they are as tall as skyscrapers. Some even have zippers that open into tunnels and secret caves. The ground is covered in pencil grass, which looks like tall, thin yellow pencils standing straight up from the dirt. If you listen closely, you can even hear them scribbling in the wind.
Backpack Bear – A large bear with a backpack built into its back. It stores snacks and maps it never shares.
Pencil Cat – A sneaky feline with pencils for ears and erasers on its paws. It purrs when you write neatly.
Pencil Dog – A playful pup whose pencil ears wiggle when it’s excited. It loves chasing erasers and sniffing notebook paper.
Even though people can’t live in Backpackland, it’s full of life. The animal creatures live in cozy dens made out of soft notebook paper and decorate their homes with rulers, sticky notes, and colorful paperclips. They spend their days playing games, writing stories in the dirt with pencil tips, and sliding down the zippers of backpack mountains.
Sometimes, if the breeze is just right, messages from the animals float through the air on paper airplanes. Some say Abby still visits Backpackland in her dreams—and maybe, just maybe, you can too.
