World's First Ever Walking Nose
Nosie was born on March 1, 2015, at the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford, CT, and grew up in Wallingford, Connecticut. Unlike most people, Nosie does not have a nose—he is a nose. A large one. With nostrils, shine, and an impressive sniffing stance, Nosie is famous for being the first-ever walking nose, a title that earned him a Guinness World Record and confused scientists everywhere.
Nosie’s unusual life began when a mysterious wizard wandered into the CT Science Center during a school field trip. While attempting to turn himself invisible, the wizard sneezed mid-spell and accidentally transformed a perfectly normal baby into a giant walking nose. Realizing his mistake, the wizard panicked, dropped his wand into a gift shop display, and ran away. Baby Nosie didn’t cry—he just sniffed loudly. As a child, Nosie quickly learned that doors were difficult but smells were easy.
As Nosie grew older (but not taller), he learned to use his powerful sense of smell for good. As an adult, he now works in security, helping TSA screen passengers for contraband and alerting movie theaters when people are sneaking in candy, popcorn, or full meals. Nosie takes his job very seriously, although he occasionally gets distracted by nearby pizza.
Nosie’s biggest contributions include entertainment, scientific confusion, and being the world’s first documented walking nose. He has shown the world that you don’t need arms, legs, or a face to be famous—just excellent nostrils. His work has also improved security sniffing standards everywhere.
Nosie claims he can smell everyone in the world at the same time.
He hates windy days because smells get “mixed up.”
He knows when someone is lying because lies smell like old cheese (according to him).
He has been banned from several bakeries for “lingering too long.”
He has never had a cold, but he worries about it constantly.
