Bananaman
Bananaman
Bananaman was born Bananiel McPeel on February 12, 2007, and grew up in Orange, Appleland. He is famous for being the only banana in a land filled entirely with apples, which made him stand out immediately. Bananiel looked like a bright yellow banana with a smiley face, sunglasses, and tiny arms and legs. No one quite understood how he ended up in Appleland, but everyone agreed he was different.
When Bananiel was young, he started out green before ripening into his bright yellow color. He trained to become a professional dancer, often performing in orchards between rows of apples. He also loved looking at models of the Earth, studying globes and maps whenever he could. Being the only banana in Appleland wasn’t easy, but Bananiel handled it with confidence and rhythm. Repeated sightings of Bananiel led to his nickname, Bananaman.
As Bananiel grew older, he learned how to protect himself from being squashed, which was an important survival skill in a world of apples. He became known throughout Appleland for his bravery and uniqueness. Sadly, in 2012, Bananiel was squished and died. Though his life was short, his legacy remained strong in Appleland.
Bananiel made several surprising contributions to history and fruit-kind:
He created the Dragonfruit, because he loved dragons and wanted a fruit that looked fierce.
He claims to have protected George Washington from being stung by an eel by covering Mr. Washington with his peel like a shield, an act that historians still struggle to explain.
He inspired fruits everywhere to embrace being different.
Bananiel was the only banana in Appleland.
“Peel” meant clothes in his world.
He loved studying models of the Earth.
He was a trained professional dancer.
