Ladybee
Ladybee
The Ladybee is a cheerful mix of a bee and a ladybug, somehow split perfectly between the two. It has the round, spotted red shell of a ladybug, but also soft fuzzy stripes like a bee underneath. Its wings are clear and shiny, buzzing like a bee’s, while its tiny legs cling gently like a ladybug’s. The Ladybee can both buzz and crawl, and its spots sometimes glow faintly when it’s excited or curious.
The Ladybee was discovered by Evelyn, a sweet and smart 7-year-old, on a warm summer night in Connecticut. Evelyn was outside looking at the stars when a small glowing insect gently landed on her hand. At first, she thought it was just a ladybug, but then it started buzzing softly and hovering in the air.
Instead of flying away, the Ladybee seemed to like Evelyn and followed her around the yard. It sat on her shoulder, buzzed happily, and refused to leave. Evelyn decided it must be special—and she was right. The Ladybee stayed with her all night, becoming the first known Ladybee and Evelyn’s very tiny pet.
Ladybees live near residential neighborhoods and forested areas of Connecticut. They like places with gardens, flowers, trees, and people nearby. They often build small homes in bushes, tree bark, or porch corners, especially where snacks might appear. Ladybees enjoy being close to humans, mostly because humans drop food.
Ladybees eat a very mixed diet, including:
Vegetables
Fruit
And McDonald’s food they land on when people eat outside
They are especially fond of fries, tiny crumbs, and anything mildly greasy. Ladybees will politely land on food, take a bite, and then buzz away like nothing happened.
Ladybees move by flying smoothly like bees and crawling carefully like ladybugs. They can hover in one place, land softly, or zip around quickly when excited. When sneaking, they move very slowly and quietly—usually when planning mischief.
It is half ladybug, half bee, and fully adorable.
It is funny, fun, and sometimes causes trouble.
It has been caught stealing fries more than once.
It sometimes pretends to be a normal ladybug to surprise people.
When tired, it naps on leaves or shoulders.
It has a bad streak and enjoys harmless pranks, like buzzing near ears.
It chose Evelyn as its human, not the other way around.
