Candleduck
Candleduck
The Candleduck has the shape of a classic round duck, but instead of a normal head, it has a lit candle as its head, complete with eyes and a beak built directly into the wax. Its body is plump, smooth, and clearly duck-like, while the candle on top flickers constantly — except when the duck is sleeping or submerged in lava. The flame is part of its body, not something placed on it, and it never burns out. When a Candleduck becomes angry, its flame grows brighter and taller, and the entire creature glows in the dark, lighting up the volcanic night like a moving lantern.
The Candleduck was discovered by a boy named Brandon while he was observing a strange, smoking island in the middle of the ocean. From a distance, he thought he saw drifting lights moving across the volcanic ground. When he looked closer, he realized they were ducks — but with burning candles for heads.
Brandon carefully watched as one Candleduck waddled at incredible speed across hot volcanic rock, its flame blazing. His detailed observation led to the official identification of this fiery creature, now known as the Candleduck.
Candleducks live on Candle Island, which is actually a giant active volcano. The island is filled with flowing lava, smoking craters, and warm rocky surfaces that perfectly suit their fiery nature. They thrive in the heat and are often seen waddling along glowing lava rivers or resting near volcanic vents.
Candleducks are omnivores, but with very unusual tastes. They eat lava, which fuels their internal heat and keeps their candle heads burning. They also enjoy roast beef, but only when it is warmed up — cold roast beef is completely unacceptable to them.
Candleducks move by waddling, just like regular ducks, but they do so at super speed. Their fast, fiery waddle allows them to zip across hot volcanic ground without slowing down or burning their feet.
