Popsy
Popsy
Popsy looks like a living popsicle that has been sitting in the freezer for a very long time. Its body is shaped like a classic popsicle with faded colors and a slightly frosty surface. Tiny ice crystals often form on its body, giving it a sparkly, frozen look. The wooden stick at the bottom acts like its legs, helping it stand and move around.
Because Popsy has been frozen for so long, it is always very cold. When it moves, small flakes of frost sometimes fall off around it.
Popsy was discovered by Evelyn after a popsicle had been forgotten in the freezer for months. The popsicle slowly collected frost, ice crystals, and tiny freezer bacteria over time.
One day, when Evelyn opened the freezer door, the old popsicle suddenly tipped over and wiggled slightly. As the freezer air swirled around it, the frozen treat slowly stretched and formed tiny arms and legs. The popsicle had somehow come alive.
Evelyn named the creature Popsy, since it used to be a popsicle before becoming a living frozen animal.
Popsies prefer very cold places where they will not melt. They are most commonly found in:
Freezers
Ice cream shops
Ice caves
Snowy areas during winter
They like environments where frost and ice are always present.
Popsy enjoys frozen and sugary foods such as:
Popsicles (even though it IS ONE!)
Ice cream
Frozen fruit
Ice crystals
Eating frozen treats helps keep its body cold and solid.
Popsy moves by wobbling and sliding across icy surfaces. The wooden stick that used to hold the popsicle helps it balance like legs. When the floor is slippery, it can glide surprisingly fast.
Popsy used to be a regular popsicle.
Frost and ice crystals grow on its body.
It prefers very cold places so it does not melt.
Popsies move slowly but can slide quickly on ice.
If left in a warm place too long, they become sleepy and stiff again.
Some scientists believe more forgotten popsicles could turn into Popsies in freezers around the world.
