Glitter Chicken
Glitter Chicken
The Glitter Chicken looks exactly like a normal chicken—same beak, same feathers, same confused stare—but with one extremely annoying difference: it constantly sheds glitter. The glitter falls off its body naturally, like feathers or dust, and comes in tiny sparkly flecks that stick to everything. No one knows how the glitter is produced, where it’s stored, or why it never runs out. What scientists do know is that once a Glitter Chicken has been near something, that thing is now glittery forever.
The Glitter Chicken was discovered in Connecticut when a farmer noticed that his barn kept sparkling even after repeated cleanings. At first, people blamed craft projects, spilled decorations, or “holiday leftovers.” The truth was revealed when a chicken walked by and left a trail of shimmering footprints behind it.
After closer observation, scientists confirmed the impossible: the chicken itself was the source of the glitter. The Glitter Chicken was officially classified as a new animal shortly after several adults became visibly upset.
Glitter Chickens live in farms, backyards, and rural areas of Connecticut, especially places where people really do not want glitter. They prefer barns, coops, and porches, but will wander freely if allowed. Unfortunately, anywhere a Glitter Chicken lives will sparkle long after it leaves.
The Glitter Chicken eats the same things as a regular chicken, including seeds, grains, insects, and scraps. Its diet has no effect on the amount or color of glitter it sheds. Scientists tried changing its food to stop the glitter. It did not work.
The Glitter Chicken walks, pecks, and flaps just like a normal chicken. However, every step it takes leaves a faint shimmer behind. When it flaps its wings, glitter spreads through the air like a tiny sparkling cloud. Running makes the problem worse.
