Cactus Crawler
Cactus Crawler
The Cactus Crawler resembles a small lizard but instead of legs, it has four tiny, rubbery wheels. Its tail is spiny like a cactus, both for camouflage and defense. Its tough, scaly skin blends in perfectly with desert terrain.
These creatures thrive in hot, sandy deserts, especially where cacti grow densely. They often hide in the shade of large succulents during the hottest parts of the day.
Cactus Crawlers feed on sweet cactus nectar and crunchy desert bugs. They’re known for using their spiny tails to swat insects right out of the air before munching them.
They zip around the desert at astonishing speeds on their wheels, leaving behind whimsical tracks shaped like spirals and stars in the sand.
Cactus Crawlers have been seen drawing elaborate pictures in the dunes with their wheels.
Some scientists believe they might be the desert’s original artists.
