Butterfin
Butterfin
The Butterfin is a beautiful and unusual animal with blue skin and large wings covered in colorful polka dots. Its wings look delicate like a butterfly’s, but they are strong enough to help it travel long distances. The combination of fins and wings makes the Butterfin stand out as an animal that clearly belongs in both the sky and the sea.
The Butterfin was discovered by Kate, who imagined an animal that could live in water but also fly through the air. While thinking about fish and butterflies, she realized that combining the two would create a fast, graceful creature. This idea led to the discovery and naming of the Butterfin, an animal that moves easily between two very different worlds.
Butterfins live in the water, but they can also fly above it. They are often found near oceans, lakes, and rivers, where they can dive down to swim or lift off into the air whenever they want. Having both abilities helps them stay safe and travel wherever food is available.
Butterfins eat a mix of pollen and fish, making them omnivores. They collect pollen while flying near flowers and scoop up small fish while swimming underwater. This unusual diet gives them plenty of energy to move quickly in both air and water.
Butterfins can fly really fast, using their powerful wings to zip through the sky. When they enter the water, they switch to swimming just as quickly, using their fins to glide smoothly below the surface. Being fast in both environments makes them very hard to catch.
