"The Robot That Finds Your Next Book"
The Book Picker is a helpful library robot that recommends books and can even go get them for you. Inside its advanced computer brain, it has millions of books downloaded so it already knows the stories, genres, characters, and reading levels.
When you tell the Book Picker what you like—mysteries, animals, funny books, adventures, or sports—it quickly analyzes its book knowledge and recommends the perfect choice. If you want, the robot will then roll over to the library shelves, locate the book, gently pull books off shelves without dropping them, and bring them back to you.
Fun fact: The Book Picker can remember the last books you liked and use that information to make even better recommendations.
The Book Picker was invented by a young girl named Emily while she was at the library. She noticed that picking a book could sometimes take a long time because there were so many choices.
Emily imagined a robot that had already read thousands of books and could instantly recommend the best one for each reader. Even better, she designed it so the robot could drive to the shelf and grab the book for you, saving time and making library visits easier.
With that idea, Emily created the Book Picker, a robot librarian that helps readers discover great books without the long search.

“I tried everything to get the Book Picker to recommend my novel The Extremely Long Adventures of Captain Sandwich. I told it my book was mystery, adventure, comedy, romance, and even ‘educational.’ The robot read it for three seconds, beeped loudly, and recommended literally any other book in the library.”
