Pre-Toasties™ Pre-Toasted Bread
"Because toasting bread yourself is basically manual labor."
Pre-Toasties™ is the world’s first commercially sold pre-toasted bread, perfect for people who love the taste of toast but can’t be bothered with the hassle of pushing down a toaster lever. Each slice comes crispy, golden-brown, and sealed in its own tiny crinkly pouch to preserve maximum toastiness. Designed for ultra-convenient toast-on-the-go living, Pre-Toasties™ are available in varieties like Original Crunch, Half-Burnt, and Oops! All Crusts.
Fans say it’s ideal for people who don’t own toasters, don’t like toasters, or once had a traumatic run-in with a toaster that launched a Pop-Tart at high velocity.
Pre-Toasties™ were invented in 2003 by Carlene “Crunchy” Biddle, a former synchronized swimmer turned snack futurist. According to Biddle, the idea came to her during a power outage when she found herself craving toast but only had access to a hairdryer, a flashlight, and a single piece of bread. She toasted that slice of bread using the heat of her hairdryer and with the power of frustration.. and a new category of food was born.
The first prototypes were hand-toasted and vacuum-sealed in sandwich bags labeled “DO NOT UNTOAST.” Initial sales were slow, mostly because people thought it was just regular toast someone forgot to eat. But by 2006, Pre-Toasties™ exploded in popularity after a celebrity was photographed using one as a phone case.
Today, Pre-Toasties™ are available in over 18 countries and are a breakfast staple for hikers, astronauts, and extremely impatient toast lovers.
From TMZ: 📸 TOAST-CASE SCANDAL:
Sources say the actor munched the top crust mid-call. Others claim it’s a prototype for his next startup.
“I thought it was a prop,” said one witness. “Then he answered a call and took a bite. I don’t know what reality is anymore.”

“Tastes JUST like toast… if toast had been toasted three months ago and sealed inside a pillowcase.”

“Okay so listen.. I was at the airport, my designer phone case cracked, my assistant was MIA, and my manager handed me a sealed slice of Pre-Toasties like it was no big deal. Desperation? Maybe. Innovation? Definitely. I slid my phone inside the pouch, pressed it against the toast for a little ‘organic cushioning,’ and boom. Next thing I know, there's my photo on the TV, and TMZ calls me a ‘Tech Pioneer with Crumbs.’ Honestly? It held up better than half the phone cases I’ve owned. It's like my phone is being hugged by breakfast.”

“Tried to butter a slice and it disintegrated like ancient parchment. It's drier than the desert.”

“As a former lead engineer at a major appliance manufaturer, I find Pre-Toasties offensive. Years of my life went into designing the perfect dual-slot, spring-loaded, chrome-plated bread toaster.. only for this monstrosity to come along and eliminate the very need for a toaster. These slices mock everything I stood for. They’re smug. They're dry. They're an abomination!
