“Where the fish are silent… but the drama is deafening.”
The Narratank™ Aquarium with 24/7 Commentary Track is a high-definition tank filled with ordinary fish living extraordinary lives, at least according to the narrator. This innovation combines the tranquil visuals of a bubbling home aquarium with the gripping intensity of a nature documentary, featuring nonstop narration by a deeply serious British voice actor who has never once broken character.
Every gulp, drift, or unintentional bubble is accompanied by dramatic narration like:
“And now… the noble goldfish… forgets where he is again. Tragic. Heroic. Slightly slimy.”
“Observe… the betta fish. Solitary. Brooding. Not invited to Larry the Red Fish's party.”
“Oh! The guppy makes a bold move… straight into the fake volcano again.”
It’s like the BBC, but with more algae.
Invented in 2022 by Harold “Hal” Tippington, a retired voice actor with too much free time and a moderately sized fish tank, the aquarium gained viral fame after a livestream clip was shared with the caption, “This fish drama is better than Game of Thrones.”
What started as a gag became a sensation. Soon, Hal was recording hour-long monologues about snail races and plankton politics. By 2024, the product had expanded into smart aquariums sold with built-in speakers, fish name tags, and a “royalty toggle” for switching between dramatic, sarcastic, or Shakespearean commentary styles.

“I used to watch real drama. Now I just watch Trevor the Tetra try to assert dominance over a plastic treasure chest.”
Mark T., proud aquarium owner, humble human

“I didn’t realize I needed a British man narrating my fish’s every move until now. My guppies are stars. I’m the background character.”

“Voice was too intense. I was trying to relax, and suddenly it sounded like my fish were plotting to escape and take over the household.”
Carlos M., dad of the year

“My kids won’t watch cartoons anymore. Just the fish tank. They call it 'Tankflix'. We now know all the fish by name and backstory. I think one of them is in love.”
Reginald Thistlewhisk, the "Voice of the Tank"

“When I first accepted the role, I thought: ‘How hard can it be? A few fish, a few lines.’ I was wrong.
I have witnessed betrayal beneath the bubbler.
I have narrated heartbreak in the glow of a plastic anemone.
I once cried..openly..when a snail made it halfway up the tank wall before giving up.
These are not fish.
They are legends.”
